Overview
Managing a high volume of applicants without a proper Applicant Tracking System made it difficult to monitor progress, follow up with candidates, and coordinate schedules with hiring managers. Job posts also had limited reach, and we needed a way to attract better-qualified candidates quickly
Solution:
To streamline the recruitment process, I created a manual Applicant Tracking System (ATS) using Google Sheets for organizing and tracking candidates efficiently. I also set up a personal Facebook profile dedicated solely to recruitment efforts, allowing me to connect with applicants more directly and share job posts in relevant groups. In addition, I managed job postings across multiple platforms such as JobStreet, Indeed, and LinkedIn, and worked closely with department heads to align job descriptions with hiring needs.
Results
Reduced hiring delays by streamlining the recruitment process and improving coordination between hiring managers and applicants. Successfully filled multiple roles and built a more organized candidate database for easier tracking and future hiring needs. Additionally, conducted a seminar for department heads to provide deeper insight into the recruitment process and promote better collaboration.
